Couple of questions

Hi. I'm new to this forum. Really learning a lot from reading all these threads. But I was wondering.....

1. Is it ok to work triceps, chest, and shoulders in the same workout/day?

2. Bent over rows.... The back has to stay motionless right? As in the lower back doesnt move up or down at all?

3. I do dumbell curls, but never used supination. Heck, I didnt even know about it until reading about it a few days back. Is it better to use that or to just my palms facing forward the whole motion like I've been doing. On top of that, are dumbell curls enough, or is it better to use wide and close grip barbell instead or with it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This place is great.

ok heres what i think:

1. It depends on your goals, do you want to be strong, like a powerlifter, or do you prefer just to be buff and cut like a body-builder

2. I love this exercise, and yes your lower back should not be moving around at all, or else you pull something, or worse you could lose your balance and stumble

3. Barbell is better for both strength, and its a mass builder
But it would be best if you included both dumbell and barbell work in you training

Welcome to IM! I havent been a member for too long but ur right its a great place

1. Sure, but I would suggest a full day of rest immediately following.

2. It probably will move ever so slightly, but basically motionless, yes.

3. The barbell is supposed to be better for gaining mass, but dumbells are good to use as well. Mix it up. Don't stick with one or the other. Supination will give your forearms some extra stimulation. Using a barbell sort of forces some wrist motion.
