Hey Baboon, whats with Martz doin' the onside kick, when he's up 31-7 late in the third. Someone needs to tell this guy, this is not the bowl coalition. Running up the score does not affect your playoff spot. What a dick!
Thanks for the ups on Candidate, he did well for me in the yahoo FF league.

Really, the onside kick was uncalled for. I don't know WHAT he thinking with that call. Hey, at least it succeeded. At least he kept the ball on the ground for most of the 2nd half. I think if he was running up the score, Canidate and Warner would not have been pulled after the 3rd quarter.

6-0. New Orleans next week....could be loss #1.

Baboon, I didnt see the game, I caught the replay. I figured Martz had the over.
HE PULLED TRUNG AT THE END OF THE THIRD! Now I'm really ticked. That cost me valuable points!

Chris Mortensen's response to the onside kick controversy:

Any controversy over the onside kick is a joke. There were more than four minutes left in the third quarter. The Jets' best play may have been their kick returns. Martz asked special teams coach Bobby April why they were having so much success. April explained that the Jets' return team, especially the front line, was cheating a bit by peeling back prematurely to set up their blocks. "How do you stop that?" asked Martz. "Onside kick," replied April. That was it. The Jets could have recovered and had excellent field position. They didn't. True, Martz had maybe had his fill of New York for two weeks (the Giants were the week before). There was some venom. Martz unleashed another section of the playbook that, quite frankly, made the game fun to watch.

Things have changed as far as onside kicks go. Teams try it in unusual situations. Same thing with going for the first on 4th down. It seems to be a lot more common this year.
