question about ephedrine

hi all,
im pretty sick w/ cold/flu symptoms and want to take some nyquil. it says that i shouldnt take it w/ an maoi for at least 2 weeks after. is ephedrine an maoi(btw, i stopped taking ephedrine about 5 days ago)?
btw, i dont take any like antidepressants or other prescription stuff.
sorry for the incredibly dumb question.

No it's not a MAOI. Although that ephedrine itself could possibly react with MAOI. And it shouldn't hurt even if it was a MAOI. Alot of that stuff is precautionary. I used to take an vicadin, and stacker 3 before every football game, although vicadin isn't a MAOI - It suggest you don't take any weightloss supps. with it, and I'm fine...
