ok this might be a little confusing. For 4 days i take 4 doses a day then like 1 or 2 for the week after that then i take a week er so off .Ok after the week i take off from taking creatine when its time again to take do i basically do the same thing as when i first started taking it like 4 doses a day for 4 days?

1. Loading isnt necessary. But it's dirt cheap, so just go ahead, its not worth arguing about.

2. Why would take a week off from creatine? Especially just 2 weeks after you started using it? There's absolutely no reason to cycle creatine... even if there was, taking just one week off would be pointless, since it takes around 4 weeks to deplete your muscles of the excess creatine.

3) take maintenance dose of 5 gr per day after the first week....right after training or first thing in the morning on off days
4) use for 3 months, then take one month off and repeat

*Note: loading is NOT necessary, but will saturate your muscles more quickly allowing for the effects to begin more quickly...AND...some people will claim that creatine does not need to be cycled...I believe it should be!

Some people need a lot more than 5g/day for creatine to work. For me, it's about 15g/day. More than that and i get crazy bloating/cramping, less and it just doesnt do anything.

Why would you want to cycle it? -- Maybe cycle off if you are playing a sport or something... That is the only thing I can think of..

I heard that when supplementing with creatine the liver or the kidney stop producing it. So, cycling it is a good idea because there is no studies about the long term usage of creatine.

This is true but I donīt know what may happen if I exceed the determined dosage.
