What's the deal with ratios?

Does it really matter what the ratios are? Like if one person was to eat 50p/30c/20f and the other was to eat 30p/50c/20f.. would one have a better results then the other?
If yes, could you explain?

Of course, but it's an individual thing, and it also depends on your goals.

As far as ratios go, pick protein based on grams per pound lean bodymass, depending on your goals. So the percentage protein is usually pretty meaningless.

It is definitely highly individualistic. If you do well on low carb diets cutting for example, your percentage cho will be rather low and fat somewhat higher (to use as a caloric ballast for example).
