I've just started weight lifting again. Not seriously into body building just looking to gain some nice muscle, loose body fat, and be healthy. I've been diagnosed with sleep apnea and because of that, I've developed high blood pressure which I am on meds for. Through diet, cardio and weightlifting, I went from 205 lbs down to 185 in 2 months. I just started eating 6 meals a day makins sure that I got 40/40/20 (P/C/F) ratio in each meal. I managed to nearly eliminate my BP med and feel better. I stared all this by following DP's cutting diet to loose body fat and maintain or gain muscle. Not to get on the soapbox but he mentions to use 3-4 TBS of heavy whipping cream in your protein shakes. Is this amount o.k., or should I have been using less and If I continue doing my protein drinks, should I use this same amount or less? Thanks for any help guys!

It's a personal preference. Dietary fat is not the culpruite to increased BP or cholesterol so if you want to use it go ahead. Personally I would just do half the amount and add in EFA's instead.

Thanks for the reply!

I feel the same as Jodi, I would much rather add in EFA's for added health benefits than the cream.

But the cream sure is yummy

I find the cream also makes it more frothy and a little easier to slide on down.

I'm sure it does taste good.

However, you still need your EFA's
