hey guys. ive nv prepare yams or seen it being prepared before... i've seen pictures of it cooked as being purple. but i tried to prepare mine... but it has white little purple dots inside. is tt yam(at all)? i am now trying to cut it to cook it ... any quick suggestions?

Microwave it like a bake potatoe. Make sure you poke holes in it first. Sometimes cinnamon is good on them.

Yeah just nuke it like you would a regular potato. Cinnamon and sour cream are awesome with them...i like to mash them up with the sour cream and cinnamon, like mashed sweet potatoes...really good.
