Are brown rice, oats, and sweet potatoes the only carbs that are allowed when cutting or is ok to have any cabrs as long as they're low in GI and aren't processes... such as.. quinoa, buckwheat, cream of wheat...etc.

cream of wheat, cream of rice are ok.

Quinoa, buckwheat and other whole grains are great choices. Basically all the organic grains you get at your bulk health store are good. Just stay away from millet, cornmeal and cous cous, and you're golden.

Peace.

Buckwheat, that's one I forgot. There is a company out there too that has a great buckwheat pancake mix

Red River cereal too (eh Premo)

Thanks guys

Er... begging your pardon, Premo, but what's wrong with whole millet? Cream of rice and cream of wheat yes, millet no?

90 cal per two tablespoons, 1 g fat, 18 carb, 4 fibre, 3 protein. Pretty much the same as any other whole grain. Also tends to be very hypoallergenic.

All of these are okay in portions. I never do sweet potatoes or any kind of potato product though. You just have to count your carbs and the amount of carbs in certain foods and decide what kinds and amounts are best for your diet.

Millet is very high GI. It's up there with white rice.

Peace.

And cream of rice isn't? Sorry, I am but puzzled.

I got a question...What IF you don't eat the right carbed food?

What if you eat like cookies and all kinda stuff, and you're thin and you work out (145 lbs - 5'11 , 15 yr old) ... Does it mean you wont put muscle mass AS FAST or it'll all be covered up with fat?

It means that you are wasting your time eating empty calorie foods when you could be eating more protein and healthier fat and carbs.
