Eating after 9 PM

Hey everyone I just got a quick question. Is is true that eating after 9 PM is bad for you? Some people have told me that just by cuttin down on eating after 9 they lost weight.

I think that if you lift, it's important to eat a sensible meal before bed.

Otherwise, it does not matter when you eat, so long as the portions are reasonable.

Energy balance is very simple, eat as much as you expend and you will be fine

People often say that you will store more as fat if you go to bed, but that is true for most meals of too big a size. The body uses fat as it's primary energy source, and it will also store any excess, regardless of when it's eaten, as fat

the time of day is not really that relevant, if you consume more calories than you burn regardless of when they're eaten you will gain weight.

as long as you're only eating protein and fat before bed and it's within your daily caloric needs you will not get fat just because you're eating late at night.

stop listening to people that perpetuate stupid myths.

The only thing about eating before bed is that the body burns less calories at sleep. Other than that, just have a nice casien based shake with slow burning carbs like other meals and youll be fine

yeah i believed the myth too for the longest time, but for the past couple months after reading up on it i started to eat some cottage cheese with pb before bed, the results, no fat gain
