Its the most abundant amino acid in the body. Some swear by it, others say its a waste of money. I think your supposed to take it(5grams) 2-3 times a day spread out evenly(once morning, once after/before w/o, once before bed.)

By most studies, VERY good, especially post-workout. Most studies indicate it aids recovery and the immune system.

I started taking it just a couple months ago and it's great....after workouts and before bed, and sometimes right after I wake up....about 4-5 grams each time.....It used to take me a full week to recover, and now my recovery is down to about 4 days. I've also noticed that when I feel like I might be getting sick, it goes away really quickly- since it's cheap, give it a try

For as many studies out there that say it's beneficial, there are just as many that say it has no effect on preventing muscle breakdown any more than a whole protein source.
Since L-Glutamine was poor oral bio-availabilty, most of it does not get past the digestive system (GUT) and what ends up in the blood stream is concluded to be broken to glucose.
