i think i found the greatest thing in the world for marinating meats and chicken in, liquid smoke with hickory flavouring, this stuff is the best, literally gives all your meats that hickory wood smoked flavouring, even if you cook it on the foreman or in the oven. you gotta pick up a bottle of this stuff

Sounds yummy!!!

Yea, I use liquid smoke to flavor my beef jerkey. Right before I put it on the Ronco food dehydrator.

Ron Popiel or whatever his name is, the king of informercials...
Posted by: PreMier
Yea, he does have good inventions though. Like that spray on hair..
Posted by: aggies1ut
Heh, I was just going to mention that, that has to be my fav. lol
Posted by: PreMier
The sad thing is he probably made a million bucks off of it too lol

Nothing like good 'ol American ingenuity lol.
Posted by: PreMier
Haha! I cant seem to find that spray on hair... Even on his website.
Maybe he invented something that actually DOESNT work
Posted by: aggies1ut
Is that even possible?
lol

It seems like it... I mean I have the food dehydrator, and its awesome. Really it is. My dad has one of his rotisary thingamabobs and it is really awesome too. So far Ronco products have worked from my experiance. I however would not buy his knives. I think they are shit, but I used to sell Cutco so im biased.

My dad woke up at 2 AM one night with the tv on and actually bought that rotisserie. LOL

Damn Ron Popiel and his subliminal messaging!
Have you ever had prime rib done in the ritisserie? Its da best!
Posted by: aggies1ut
OH hell, you have not had prime rib until you have gone to Lawry's.....seasoning is in the supermarkets....in Beverly Hills. Also, Vegas and a few other places. It comes out in a silver cart, and you get a baked potatoe with all the trimmings or mashed potatoes, creamed corn or spinach, Yorkshire pudding, and a salad that is spun on a bed of ice with their house dressing. There is a knock off in SF called House of Prime Rib that does the same thing.

Ugggghhh.... Im drooling on myself now! Why did you post that?!?!
P.S. I use the Lawrys seasoned salt
Posted by: aggies1ut
Damn, my dad's been going to Lawry's since it opened because he has a friend that he visits in Pasadena.....Heh, my dad knows some damn good food. During the Rose Bowl, they have "The Beef Bowl," where each team eats at the restaurant. Two football teams...you'd better believe a shitload of beef is consumed. lol

Hell, when I was bulking I would eat 2Lbs groud elk at one sitting. Prime rib is another story. Gawd I want prime rib... I have to wait till christmas

Smoke flavouring might be an interesting flavour once in a while, but in general, I would stay away from that stuff.
Nowadays, most of the food products that are "so-called smoked" are in fact covered with smoke flavouring (except the high quality stuff).
How is smoke flavouring produced, do you think? Well, just imagine smoking any piece of food under a hood. Then gather all the black suity stuff from the hood face, mix with caramelized water. Et voilą.
Pure cancer in a little bottle!
