Although I live in a tropical country I often feel cold at night - starting around 11 pm. It is not only uncomfortable but also makes sleep impossible unless I cover myself up.

The solution is to have a meal -- 1/4 cup of oats and a little milk seems to work.

I know oats have a lot of carbos so maybe I can get some suggestions of alternative 'night' snacks.

By the way I do a weight workout every other day and cardio (25 minutes) on my off days.

Suggestiions welcome -- thank you.

oaties before bed are cool as long as they are within your macro budget for the day. although i would add some pb and whey to that stack as well.

if you need something to warm you up- how about making some soup? like chicken/vege or beef veggie?

Why not just use more blankets?

some people just like blankets.. but personally i love wearing pj's or sweat pants and some kinda of heavy blanket.. i wear so much stuff during the winter that i am almost about to sweat....

but in the summer... if i get a single sweat i will go freaky!! so nothing like that allowed.. boxers and a sheet or two max!

i have bran-flakes and a whey shake w/ tsp walnut oil

cottage cheese is great apparently but i can't stand the taste and i've ran out of PB and keep forgetting to replace it, soon as i make the effort to get some i'll add it to my bedtime meal... but the bran-flakes and shake seems to do fine, and its quick n' easy to do

peace

Thanks for the suggestions.

I think I will pass with the extra blankets as I think my problem can be solved by eating more. Soup might be OK - my nutrionist suggested milk (low fat) but too much liquid in the stomach causes all sorts of problems when I am lying down. I'll stick to the oats then.
