OK, been right around 250 for a few weeks now. I'm eating about 3000 cals plus my normal workouts which are:

Sat-Thurs: AM Cardio (50-70 mins.)

Sun PM: HST weights
Tues PM: long bike
Thurs PM: HST Weights
Saturday: Big cardio day

goals: overall fitness, sprint/olypmic triathlons, maintain LBM.

should I try a cut to 2000 cals and see how the body responds?

major foods of the day includes:

egg whites w/ low fat cheese
turkey
chicken
myoplex (when i can't bring eggs to a meeting)
salads (garbonzo beans, cucumber, mushrooms, low cal/no fat dressing)
oatmeal
wild rice
apples
yogert (occasional)
treat: 1 serving jelly beans

ROFL!

Yea, it is best to cut cals by the MOST at 500. Wait a week or two, then cut them again. These things take time. Cut the cals slowly, and loose the weight slowly, as to try and retain as much LBM as possible

I think a 50% cut is pretty drastic, 500-750 sounds fair.

if you are already doing a mix of both cardio and weights along with dieting, then theres no need to go for too drastic of a calorie defciet. cutting by 500 is fine. any more for a prolonger period and you can kiss some of that muscle goodbye.
how about posting your diet meal by meal(time, amount, when you train, etc).
and those jellybeans could be holding you back some too!

but jelly beans are soooo good

normal day:

4:15am Wake up
5-6:15 Cardio (swim, bike, run, stairmaster usually 2 of the 4 per day)
6:30 Myoplex Orginal and shower
9:00 Food (usually egg whites)
10:00 Morning Mocha
Noon Food (chicken + apple or oats)
3:00 Food (meat)
4:00 afternoon workout (bike or weights)
5:30 Myoplex Original
8ish Food (meat + salad)
9pm Bed

Saturdays are brick training for tris, so its 1.5-2hrs of cardio with transistions. i have 2 GU's in that workout for an extra 200 cals. Fridays I take off.
