IMO...that only comes from training experience. while I do use my training log as a guide for what poundages to use on working sets I also train instictively. If I am supposed to do 3 sets of an exercise and feel that I have sufficiently worked that muscle after 2 sets I stop and go to the next exercise. Conversely, sometimes I do more than I have planned. Or if I am scheduled to do one exercise and it just doesn't "feel" right that day I'll stop and do another... |
