dont bother..............we all know it sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: MarcusMaximus

let us know when you start getting cold sores from the arginine. it usually happens the day after you stop taking it.. good luck....

Posted by: NiceGuy

Whooooa Cold Sores,,, why would arginine cause cold sores? Has anyone had side effects from this stuff?

Posted by: TrojanMan60563

NiceGuy I took one bottle worth, for me that was like 18 days. I didn't get any sides from it, but I can't tell if it did anything for me either because I was taking other stuff at the same time (PH). But I don't think it did enough for me to spend my money on it again.

Posted by: MarcusMaximus

arginine is a potent viral activator. lysine is the opposite. this is one of the reasons, if not the only reason that lysine was added to the arginine & ornithine products in the 80's. That product too was crap.

This action of arginine has been known for at least 2 decades. Certain foods containing high amounts of arginine can or may cause similar effects.

another name for cold sores is herpes I or II depending.

Too late now but may help others save money in the future?

I don't think NO2 works for everyone, just like creatine doesn't work for everyone either. I don't get much from creatine, while most people love it. Nice Guy I don't think you wasted your money because it may do something for you. Try it and see what happens. From what I can see from other NO2 posts some people hate it, some people really like it. Don't let someones opinion of it stop you. Different strokes for different folks!

Thanks TrojanMan, I have been on NO2 for 3 days now,, I know your not supposed to see results until after the first week,, But I see the vains already being more vascular(noticed it in my hands this morning) It looks like my body is respoding to it, but I just hope I dont get the Herpes from this stuff like MarcusMaximus said!

Posted by: topolo

you might get SARS

Posted by: MarcusMaximus

you won't get herpes or cold sores from arginine. it activates latent infections.

this is what fuels the shady supplement industry. the very same thing has been said over the years about
boron, smilax, inosine, gamma-oryzanol and whatever else you want to talk about. until the smoke clears and everyone walks away sheepishly, after telling people that whatever it was worked like magic, there will always be someone trying to get someone else to try a product.

but, its your money.

if I were you, i would take syntax nectar lemonade flavor, add swole to the list: take a big scoop before your workouts and after your workouts and twice per day on the days that you don't work out. Take the nectar stuff twice per day minimum. But whatever you do, don't take any of those nasty protein bars.

Hey you can't get herpes from it, I think the point Marcus was trying to make is that if you already have herpes you could have more frequent outbreaks. A supplement can't give you herpes.

Posted by: TrojanMan60563

Marcus I agree that there is a lot of hype out there about supplements. Thats how they sell them. I think your diet is the real miracle. You can't deny that different people respond differently to supplements. I know guys that swear by creatine, and love the results. I am taking Swole V2 and the only thing I can really say I notice is some water retention. Thats it.

agreed

by the way, that is a great looking dog; how old?

Posted by: TrojanMan60563

He just turned 3 a month ago. "Big Lou" is 75lbs on lean beef. Sick thing is he does nothing all day long. I need to get off my lazy ass and start working him. He would get so huge and cut. His dad is 105lbs if that gives you an idea of his genetic potential. I put his picture there because he looks more like a body builder right now then I do..LOL...damn dog!

Posted by: topolo

i still think you might get SARS

Anyone want to buy an opened bottle of NO2 from me? I didn't use much because it sucks!

Posted by: sshamm_bone_1

How many pills do you have left, and how much do you want for what you have left?

I personally had really good luck with NO2. It shot my recovery time up, and even after a hard squat day, I would never get sore the days to follow well on it. As soon as I went off I would be sore the 2 days after.

mousie......do you suck?

Posted by: TrojanMan60563

Mousie only sucks when I tell her to. hehe...Hey Sshamm_Bone_1 she has atleast 3/4 of the bottle left and will sell it for $30

Posted by: TrojanMan60563

she only used it 3 days, and she was only using 6 pills a day

Posted by: Spottieottie

I have some unopened Trac creatine and an open bottle of no2 if anybody wants to buy. I took it for a couple of days and then read the warning label on it.

Whats the warning label say, and on what bottle?

Posted by: Spottieottie

if you have a history of cold sores you should beware of this product or something like that

Hey woah woah...I'm the seller in this thread - I took the front row spot.

Posted by: Spottieottie

yea I'm just gonna go on ebay and sell it, hopefully. I won't steal any business from you. I might be brave enough someday to try it.

Posted by: TrojanMan60563

brave enough? what do you think its going to do that you have to be so worried about?

Posted by: Spottieottie

I'm just kidding. If it doesn't work, breaking out in cold sores or fever blisters isn't worth it to me.

Posted by: TrojanMan60563

I wouldn't worry about it. I didn't get any cold sores from it. I think it did make me sweat a lot though, but that is probably a combo of the PH and the NO2 because even after stopping NO2 I was still sweating a ton but not as much

Posted by: MarcusMaximus

yeah, TM is correct. its a common side effect for those people who already have herpes/cold sores/ fever blisters. As ~ 75-90% of the population carries the virus, it is possible that it could activate a previously unknown hidden infection. if a more intense pump is what you desire and that particular side effect doesn't concern you, then have a go!

Posted by: sshamm_bone_1

mousie how much do you want for the NO2 then? anyways i have never seen or heard of any of them effects of cold sores etc. the 20 other forums i've been in and other topics i've seen about what people thought about NO2, never had anyone bring up cold sores etc.

Posted by: MarcusMaximus

someone actually mentioned that there was a warning written on the label regarding arginine being a herpes activator. i didn't believe it as i have never seen it but someone mentioned it.
arginine is well known to promote viral infections. i suggest that you do a search for arginine or whatever you wish to find out for yourself.

Posted by: mousie

I guess $30 plus however much it costs for shipping. I haven't had time to figure out exactly how many pills I have though. Why don't you find out if NO2 really works for you before buying it off of me?

Posted by: sshamm_bone_1

because it does work for me and i've already gone through 1 bottle of it. but i think i'm going to try it for awhile without no2, and just keep up on my diet.

Posted by: Spottieottie

I was at GNC and I asked somebody about NO2 reactivating the herpes type I (cold sores). He told me to take L-lysine which is an amino acid.
I did some research and found an article:
http://www.dietsexercise.com/cold-sores-lysine-1.htm
that's if anybody is interested.
I can't take the NO2 back so I guess I'm going to start taking it tomorrow.

Posted by: MarcusMaximus

this is why uin the 80/s the alleged growth hormone releasers arginine and ornithine had lysine included in it. These supplements didn't make much of an impact backthen although they were all the rage for 2-3 years. each cap/tab had 500mg lysine. however, tableting 1000 mg of arginine and 1000 mg of ornithine as well as the 500 mg of lysine made for a huge hard tablet. so they made smaller caps and had you take several of them.
Conan corp. tried marketing this APK stuff years ago. it didn't take off then as it didn't work. Just goes to show you that if you wait long enough, your grannie's boots came back in style.

Posted by: NiceGuy

Well its been 9 days that I have been on NO2. I feel alittle tighter than usual. It gives me a pretty good pump in the gym, and I still have it hrs later. I have been off creatine for a month and a half and will start taking San V12 in 5 days. I hear you start seeing the best results the third and fourth week.

Posted by: TrojanMan60563

what are you talking about babe...your post doesn't really make sense.

Posted by: mousie

Fine, I deleted it...

Tell everyone why you stopped taking NO2, babe.

That's funny...GNC can sell you pills that gives you "pumps" in the gym. Hahaha. GNC SUCKS.

Posted by: TrojanMan60563

I stopped taking it cause I wasn't sure that it was working with everything else I was taking, plus it made me sweat a TON. I still sweat a lot after I stopped because of the PH's but not nearly as bad.

Posted by: Spottieottie

Yea some of the guys at GNC piss me off. One guy told me that when he was in the army him and some other guys took NO2 right before they had to do push ups. He said they were all able to do like 50 more just because of the NO2. Talk about a tall tale. They are just trying to get sales and it's obviously working. You would think that they work on commission or something

Posted by: NiceGuy

I agree, people at GNC are always trying to push products.

Posted by: mousie

What's funny is that GNC took Methyl-D off of the shelves back at the end of March, but they secretly still sell it to their customers.

Trivia question: Who is best known for asking, "Would you like to try some Vitamin C?"
