Did I mention the Canadian jockey, Stewart Elliott became the first jockey to win his Derby debut since Ronnie Franklin with Spectacular Bid in 1979? 
Also, Smarty Jones is the first horse since Seattle Slew to win the Derby coming in undefeated. Pretty good company.
