ok..i seen ppl post on having oats for post workout or for a mrp.
Jodi said put it in a shaker bottle with whey and peanut butter, then add water.
My question is this:
What kind of oats to use,Is the 1 minute quakers oatmeal ok to use?
And I thought oats had to be cooked before it can be digested properly
what am i missing here, can someone tell me the proper way of doing this.

i believe rolled oats do not have to be cooked to be digested properly, the quick oats( 1 minute cook time) would be fine to throw in the shake. You would want to grind it in a coffee grinder though before putting it in your shake, so you don';t have lumps of oatmeal in your drink, also ditch the pb pwo, no fat in that drink, but if it was a meal replacement keep the pb in

Thanks aztec.....BTW...where can you get rolled oats(supermarket?) and what brand

and no prob man, i just started a change in my pwo shake going with about 1 scoop of gatorade about 20 grams carbs, and 1.5 scopps of whey, 35 grams of protein, a banana, and about a 1/3 cup of cream of wheat for my pwo. we'll see how far it takes me

Old Fashioned Oatmeal (look for that name). Quaker- comes in a yellow/red bag. or you can purchase organic whole rolled oats as well.

Only ditch the PB if it is PWO. If it is not PWO then keep the PB.

Do you blend that in a blender?? I can't see the concoction of pb, oats, whey and water mixing up well in a shaker bottle.
