Bicep workout causing elbow pain

I'm new to the Gym... 1 month in, I'm a long time runner and consistently did push-ups and situps after my runs, so I'm in good physical shape.

However, besides normal soreness associated with working out, the insides of my elbows are absolutely killing me after every Bicep workout. Am I doing something wrong? or is this normal?

Probably your form is wrong. You shouldn´t feel pain in your elbow.

I'm guessing what you're feeling isn't really "elbow" pain, but rather the tendons in the inner part of your elbow playing up ..

Try going a bit lower in weight for a while to give your tendons the chance to catch up with your newly gained bicep strength, ok ?

You don't want any tendinitis happening in the first two months of your training now, would you?

Same thing happened to me when I first started curling. As Preacher preached (heh), go easy. I found that avoiding the isolation curls (machines and preacher curls) and sticking with the more natural curls (standing DB curls, EZ bar curls), the pain was diminished.
