I haven't been posting in my journal lately but I have lost about 2% body fat in the past month. I consider that a success so far as my weight has stayed about the same.

Here is a typical day's diet. Feel free to comment!

1. 3 Eggs, 2 slices wheat bread, 1 tblspn mayo, Flax oil cap

2. 2 scoops protein isolate

3. 1 can tuna, green beans, Tblspn PB.

4. same as #2

5. Chicken breast or lean beef, green beans or similar, rice or small amount of pasta, Flax oil cap

6. Tblspn PB.

Sleep, repeat the next day

Forgot to add that I am 6'3 210 lbs, currently at about 18.5 % bf.
Weight training 3 days a week. No cardio.

This doesn't look like enough food at all

What are your macros?

Posted by: Riverdragon

I know it doesn't seem like much food at all. Maybe i should throw something else in there as I am usually pretty hungy by the time the next meal rolls around. Any advice? What is a macro?

macro- carb, protein, fat

have you tried using www.fitday.com and tracking marco's and calories?

- Id personally switch the bread with oats at breakfast.
-remove the mayo in meal 1 and add some fats to your shake in meal two.
-is that 3 whole eggs in meal 1? Id cut back to 2 yolks and add in more whites.
-WHEN do you train? I think you need more carbs if your not carb cycling or refeeding?!
-your last meal needs PROTEIN!! and some more veggies.

I haven't been using fitday.com but I when I started out I looked up just about everything I eat on calorieking.com. Maybe I will drop the bread and mayo in the morning but I tried eating plain oats and it was nasty as hell. Anyway to make that taste any better? Do you think maybe I should drink some more protein with my last meal? I didn't really consider that last tbspn of PB to be a meal, just something I usually do on the spur of the moment.

Oh yeah, and I get to the gym at about 5:30 p.m., Tues, Thurs and Sat.

check out the recipes section about that oats ('no more oats' ) great suggestions there.

YES add the protein in the last meal with that peanut butter. is it natural pb ?

ok, 5:30-between what meals is that?

Posted by: Riverdragon

Workout is between meals 4 & 5, except on Saturday, I go after meal #1. I will check out the recipes section about the oats.

Oh, and the PB is natural.

chill out on all of the "drinking protein". personally too much whey makes me nauseous...but besides srewing up your digestive system, you would be better off with a slow release protein, and one that is less glycemic.

Posted by: Riverdragon

I wish I could take any type of whey that I wanted but I am lactose intolerant.

Generally, do you think I am headed in the right direction with my diet? I mean, I have lost body fat in the past month without losing any weight. I really would like to eat more but it's hard to think of things to eat while at work.

your're off to a good start. just be sure to have protein with every meal, keep clean carbs(no processed junk like bread)
thats already been mentioned though.

about the overall cals...just dont lose more than a lb/week IMO...
