This is part 1, the cutting diet. There is also a part 2 which is bulking and maintenance.

Do they have like a plan that is put out into different meals?

Posted by: Jodi

No - use the approved food list and make up our own meals accordingly.

how much per serving? or is that in the reading and i just skipped over it? also i have a question, i read in muscular development that if you mix caffeine(hydroxcut) with creatine, you get no effect from the creatine? is that true? and i have 24 percent body fat if i do 20 minutes cardio 5 days a week and eat on this diet how long would you estimate myself to get around 10 percent? thanks jodi for all your help!

I know nothing about creating first of all. I never used it. Second of all everything you need to do this diet is in that article.

My mom is on an atkins diet, can she or should she carb cycle?

Posted by: Spitfire

Or carb up days, or somthing she lost 11 lbs, in a week then stopped losing al together?

She could. The worst that'll happen is it won't work, and she'll need to try something else. (She exercise at all?)

However, she will need to be psychologically prepared for the likelihood of water weight gain in the first day or two afterwards. As well, I highly recommend that she NOT try either "junk" or "all-she-can-stuff" carb-ups. Not only do those make it that much harder to get back onto the low-carb trail afterwards (waking up sugar cravings to full intensity) but they tend to encourage binging behaviour. Losing the weight and gaining an eating disorder is neither healthy nor worthwhile.

A planned refeed of limited grams of low-GI carbs would be what I'd try in her place.

Akateros, thanks alot man, just confirmed what I told her, makes me feel alittle better. Is there any links or somewhere I could look ino it alittle further?
Thanks again

Check the stickies, for one. Jodi's got a link to Dr. Pain's Female Cutting Plan --basically the Beverly International low-carb diet, which includes an extra carb meal every few days. Sweet potato, vegetables, butter, some other stuff.

The carbs listed in TP's carb cycle plan would all be good ones to choose. This here thread on another board is a pretty good discussion of refeeds etcetera from a female perspective.

Anything you can find about CKDs will give some guidance as well -- but again, I'm not a supporter of the ketogenic pigout. I've seen lots of anecdotal reports (and I've got my own evidence) of the bad effects, but I can't think of anything offhand for formal reference.

I wasnt sure if a cutting program would be good for my Mom who doesnt work out.
I know my mom, she doesnt splurge or pig out, she good about that.
Thanks again for you help.

I've heard conflicting stories about creatine & caffeine. I tried a cycle with low caffeine, & one with my usual coffee-junkie style & saw no difference. Creatine was very effective for me in both situations.
