Can beginner gains be more apt to occur if you take a week of more frequently, such as 1 every four weeks or so? Or is it better to wait about 10 weeks or so for off weeks? My thinking of late is that if i take a week off more frequently i can experience "beginner gains" more often then just at the beginning? Anybody have any thoughts or input on this?

Thats a totally wrong concept... the reason of beginner gains is that becos "untrained" people have inactive muscles(motor units).. after training these muscle becomes active that is why there is so much gain in so little time..

But resting for a week after sometime is good...

If you train for 10 weeks and then quite for 10 you are going to lose it anyway. I lost MONTHS worth of work with a 6 week layoff.
You aren't a beginner all over again just because you take time off, if you lose it all you would be lucky to get it back in a moderately shorter time period.
