Is creatine without a transport worth it?

Like taking it with some glutamine, or mabye in a low gi meal?

yeah, i used and still use AST micronized creatine monohydrate, and worked great for me. its a HELL of alot cheaper than those transport things.

I use ids creatine 500 seems to work good and is cheap but tastes like crap, does AST have a good flavor?

ast really doesnt taste like anything, which is how creatine monohydrate should be. mixed w/ water, its ALMOST tasteless, thrown in a protein shake youd never know its there

best "transport" is homemade with dextrose/matodexrin in a post workout protein shake. the mixure of protein and simple carbs is the best for spiking insulin and shuttling the monohydrate to your muscles. i think the addition of a little ala might be beneficial too.
any flavor that claims its a pleasant neutral flavor, most likely tastes like the plague.
