Someone Please Define Low/High Carbs

When people talk about their diets, they often refer to low and high carb days. I know what a no carb day is: less than 20-30g. However, I don't know what a low carb or high carb day is. I understand the concept, but how many grams denotes a high carb day and how many a low carb day?

if you are carb cycling, a low carb day is a gram per pound of bodyweight

Hrm, well by that definition I am going low carb. I usually have one serving of carbs per meal (Except the last one), which ends up being 30-40g of carbs. 40 x 5 = 200, which is my bodyweight. Of course, all of my caloric intake is lower than it was since I'm cutting now. I never knew!

when carb cycling, i believe you would take your low carb goal and spread it out over 3 meals if eating 6

Typically, in bodybuilder diets, anything under bodyweight in carbs is low carb and requires a refeed or if cycling a high carb day every few days.

Most everyday low carb days, you know the average dieter, is under 50G carbs.

Does this mean you suggest that I should eat more carbs every 4-5 days or so? I haven't felt tired or lethargic yet, although I'm only a week and a half into my cut.

I'm not carb cycling, though I appreciate the advice.

no doubt...it still has some good guidelines even if you aren't following the full program

Another approach is that anything under 30-40% carbs is low carb. For me that's about 165g/day. I weigh 219, but at 18-19% bf, my lean weight is ~175, so by Jodi's definition, I'm definitely in Low Carb Territory. (yay! )
