legs..question..getting smaller

4 sets of leg extensions..light to heavy
4 sets of smith squats..light to not to heavy (low backproblems)
4 sets leg press light to heavy
3-4 hacks light to heavy..

legs just never to to grow at all ...anybody??

Is this all one workout? So you're doing 15-16 sets for quads?

yes..and as i am writing it ...its sounds like overtraining..doesnt it??

Drop the smith squats and do real barbell squats also.....especially if you have back problems as the smith machine and even the hack squat depending on the angle can compress the lower vertabrae in a really bad manner.

Yeah....thats a lot of sets. Drop the volume and follow Funk's advice. The Smith machine is a death trap. Also, it doesnt follow the natural motion your body follows when squatting. If you do BB squats right, you shouldnt hurt your back.

usually same day ..usually quads in am hams night...hams 3-4 sets leg curls,3 sets bent over barbell,,2-3 sets one leg curls......also bb squats..after extensions?? remembering i will be weak at first..thx

what are bent over barbells? You mean straigh leg deadlifts?

do your straigh leg deads first
and then your leg curls and get out of there. no need for both the lying and the unilateral leg curls...pick one..next time do the other.
