WE are taping the morning shows and watching them at night. I guess I'll see it all later...

US Postal was averaging something like 34 MPH. I can't even fathom averaging that kind of speed on my road bike. That is literally twice as fast as I go.

Posted by: rule62

Phenomenal. I can not wait to watch it tonight on OLN. The entire European continent is out to get our man Lance. They actually changed the rules this year to cap the amount of time anyone can pick up in the team time trials. That was geared directly at Postal Service. They still kicked them.

Posted by: Jeeper

They did get lucky that Hamiltons team had 5 flats. THey still finished second I believe.

Posted by: aggies1ut

Well Hamilton is only back by 36 seconds because the new rules only dock the second place team 20 seconds.

Ullrich is the main threat to Lance anyways.

Posted by: Jo-Anna

That was such a good race yesterday... only 5 people crossed the line on Hamilton's team. I'm havin fun watching the races - I get pumped up then go to the gym and do my workout... I don't feel so sore anymore...

Armstrong is such a beast, along with all those other guys. It makes me wanna cycle, but I suck at it and i'd definetly create too much drag

Anyone else find it ironic that the LEADER of the Tour De France wears a YELLOW jersey? I guess it's a tribute to their military heritage, the fastest person to get the fuk out of dodge gets to wear their military's colors.

Must be true!
Always hated those Fukers.

Did you see them riding with the bulls yesterday... funny but dangerous...

2nd place overall and it's mountain time. Get ready for him to start kicking ass.

Nice. I was wondering how he was doing.

Posted by: aggies1ut

Hell ya. Winning Stage 15 today and taking the yellow jersey. 1:25 up on Basso.

Posted by: Jodi

This is the first time I've watched this and OMG, I don't know how they put up with the spectators getting in their face like that.

Lol I'm an oddball. I've been watching Lance since he won the World Championship....I was 13 years old and watching cycling. Lol, I must get it from my dad.

Posted by: PreMier

I cant come back to this thread... I need to watch the compilation on Sunday I love the tour.

Posted by: aggies1ut

The Tour de France is freaking awesome! I look forward to it every year and the conclusion is always near my bday. Been pretty damn nice with Lance winning the past 5 years lol......and soon to be a record 6th year.

Posted by: PreMier

Yea, its way awesome. Do you think he has 7 in him?

Posted by: PreMier

Oh shyt... your b-day is coming up. I need an addy to send a card

Posted by: aggies1ut

I turn 24 ugh on July 31.
Lance may have 7 in him....competitors are catching up to his level of fitness though and he's already 32..not getting any younger. As part of the Discovery Channel sponsorship though, he had to committ to riding atleast 1 more Tour after this year.

Btw, aggies1ut@hotmail.com
Feel free to send cards, donations, etc. lol

Posted by: PreMier

I know... I peeped your profile Donations!? Your the one who will be making plenty of money!

Posted by: aggies1ut

Lol I hope/wish. Gotta pay back those loans too.

Posted by: PreMier

Yea, thats a bummer for sure. I know you will do great. Your a really smart girl. What kind of lawyer will you be? I may need one j/k!

Posted by: aggies1ut

Sports law would be a dream come true, but you need connections. I'm thinking business, corporate, or tax along with being a CPA. Tax is hella boring, but damn, you can make some good money.

Damn, I'm beat. Freakin' Mayo never called back, so I moved and got rid of all this furniture and mattresses by myself. My shoulder looks nasty too because I'm peeling for the first time ever. Track and Field Trials made me black. Tan looks good though because I added more blonde to my hair.

Side note, how's your shoulder? You still sick?

Posted by: PreMier

Yea, still sick. Almost 7 weeks of bad bronchitis. If I am not doing better in a week(on new meds) then I go back for x-rays for pnemonia. Shoulder is doing ok I guess. I get a dull pain in it every once in a while. Just waiting for it to heal up.

What did you do with Mayo's stuff? Put it on the curb? LOL I demand new pics of the newly tanned and blonde Denise
I can demand things right?

Posted by: aggies1ut

Wow, still sick? That's crazy.

Lol, Mayo was supposed to help me get rid of my mattresses and stuff. Instead, all 5 feet and around 100 lbs. of me was dragging all this crap everywhere. Blah. Some help he was. Atleast, I only have some towels and clothes left to pack up in my car. The rest is just cleaning.

As for pics, I'll take some soon. I really like my hair. It's gone through many different phases of highlights lol, but the last time, they made them too dark. As for my tan, I look I like I went to Bermuda for 10 days, instead of Sacramento.

Posted by: PreMier

Fantastic! I cant wait to see! I bet you look smokin hot

I cant believe Mayo punked out on helping. I bet he was upset you were moving back north.

Posted by: aggies1ut

Aww thanks Jake.

Eh Mayo's probably not all that upset. We've talked....and lemme tell ya, if he says he'll call ya, he won't. But anyways, lol, what can ya do? I should be used to doing stuff on my own. I moved into the dorms without help, moved in and out of a house without help, and in and out of this apt. without help.

Edit, apparently I really didn't mean shit to Mayo, not even friendship wise. Asshole. Ah well, life goes on.

Posted by: PreMier

That just shows how much of an independent woman you are. Congrats! Most women in the USofA WANT to be like you, but aren't.

Posted by: aggies1ut

I'm self-reliant out of necessity lol. Too many people have let me down or just plain flaked on me. I've learned not to depend on others for too much. Sure is a pain in the ass when moving furniture though lol.

Posted by: Jenny

I like watching this too and I'm rooting for Armstrong even thought I'm not an American Yesterday in my spin class I talked about the tour, like "Are you tired? Well think of the guys in tour de France and start pedaling!!" I swear they all worked harder!

Posted by: KataMaStEr

I have to say I’m not a big bike fan; I like riding every now and then but not hardcore like some people in here. But I have tell you, every single morning I’m stuck to OLN watching the tour, much respect for those guys that’s just crazy.

Posted by: aggies1ut

Lance wins a record 6th straight!!!!! He and Team Postal dominated this year's tour. As part of the new Discovery Channel deal, he is contractually obligated to ride in next year's tour. I hope that there's no renegotiations and that when the time comes, he still will go for #7.

Actually, he is obligated to ride next season, but the specific races have not yet been determined. Lance will have to sit down with his new sponsor and work that out. Speculation has it that he will race some other European races next year like the Giro d'Italia, then come back for the TdF in 2006.

Crap, Lance is "only" 32 years old. Professional athletes, especially cyclists, usually hit their prime around 34 nowadays.

Posted by: aggies1ut

Damn. I'm thinking he'll do the Giro, the Tour of Georgia, and others...God I hope he does the Tour de France though. I'm sort of suprised that Clodden beat out Basso for second though. Basso may be the one of the next potential winners some day.
