Well, Clemens has had a phenomenal record this year. He's like 10-3 or some shit... and this is after coming out of retirement to play with Texas. Amazingly, he does SO well that he makes it to the all star game to start in the national leage, after starting for so many years on the american league. There's all sorts of speculation about how dominating the rocket is going to be... and then it happens...






















































...he gives up 6 runs in the 1st inning, throws like 50 pitches to get 3 outs, and is replaced after pitching just 1 inning.

Yeah it was bad, he gave up to homers, and a single, a double and a triple, the double and the triple, were like inches away from being homers as well.

I wonder if Mike piazza (sp?) was telling the batters what pitch Roger was going to throw, like in bull durham. The announcers were saying Roger and Mike had a little beef, since Roger beamed Mike in the head.

i also thought it was hillarious when clemens got creamed in the first inning..he always had an attitude.it seemed that the inning was never gonna end

I heard this conspiracy theory, from a Red Sox fan, on a sports talk show.

Clemens intentionally lost the game as part of a grand plan to go out on top, forever adored by Red Sox nation.

Would Clemens be the biggest sports hero in New England or what?
