starvation makes u fatter????

Im taking a break from bodybuilding and stuff. I decided to lose fat then in September when i go off to college to start bodybuilding. currently, im not eating much. but some people tell me that starving yourself can make u fatter, something with the growth hormones or whatever...another diet my cousin told me about is once a day u eat a BIG bowl of just meat. Thats it. U just eat one big bowl of meat a day and you'll lose weight. I tried it for a week last year, and I lost 6 pounds. But yeah, someone tell me about the starvation thing.....peace

Basically starving yourself will trash your body. Your metabolism will shut down and anything you do eat your body will hold on to dear life. Your body will simply use muscle for energy. Yes, you will lose weight (weight from muscle that is) but in the long run it will get you no where. If you dont want to lift, fine, but eating healthy is something that will help you lose weight and keep it off. Back to the weights, Muscle burns fat so it doesnt make sense to stop lifting. Its basically a free fat burner. The more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism, the higher your metabolism, the more calories you burn, the more calories you burn, the more you can eat. Ok, Im rambling now, I think I need a protein shake. Ciao.

starving yourself or that rediculous diet of one meal per day will cause you to lose muscle and fat, also it will crash your metabolism, not to mention you will have ZERO energy and with only eating meat experience some gastro-intestinal problems due to the lack of fiber. in short it's worse than a slimfast diet.

hahahahahahhahahahahahaa, that is rediculos, that doesnt make any sence at all, and why do you take a break from lifting at all? eat 6 really small meals a day and include lots of protein..thats gona make you loose weight (fat) not muslces faster than just eating 1 big bowl of meat...hehehe still sound funnny...mecause if you eat small meals thru the day it is gona keep you metabolism going all day which means you you burn calories......also drink lots of water man that like fuel for the body.....im not trying to sound like an asshole man but you need to learn or you are just gona make things worse for you.....also dont think that lifting weights is gona turn you into a huge muslce head over night (if thats why you are not lifting right now) if you lift and excersise you are gona lose weight faster and be nice and defined.........so good luck to you man............

I mean what sounds better ... eating chicken, rice, veggies, etc. every few hours or eating a bowl of weiners once a day?

I can assure you our way is much much healthier and will help you acheive your goals much easier.

I work with someone who eats, for the most part, once a day. He weighs around 250 I'd guess....and it's not muscle, let's put it that way. He just stares at me in disbelief when I'm eating every 2 hours.

Eating once a day is the worst thing, in the long run, that you can do.

ok aother thing let me make you understand how this works italianboy........................................

When you eat one large meal once a day you are probobly going to eat lots of calories, fat carbs and probobly protein all at once....but your body only really need maybe 1/4 of the stuff you just ate for energy and gues where the rest goes??? its all going to be stored as extra fat.....so later at night when you really feel hungry but you dont wana eat anything because you promised yourself to eat only once a day you body is gona pull stuff out from your muscles and that sux.....so you are all gona get fucked up and you know very well you cant just eat once a day because you will get really hungry.........

But lets say you eat 5 small meal a day...... eating = energy, times 5 is really good
that means you will be full and you body has will store less fat everytime you eat because you meals are so small they get used up as energy.....that means your metabolism keep running all the time which means you burn more calories which then means you loose more fat..........get it ??????????

there is more to it than i just explained but it basicaly all you need to know to tell that cousin of yours that eating once a day is an old wifes tale.......

no offense but your cousing doesn't know jack about the human body. there is not one good thing about eating only one meal a day..
