Under Armour

Do any sport players here wear under armour, and if so does it make a difference in helping you keep cooler or sweat dry?

I've been thinking of buying a white tee-shirt for soccer since I'm usually playing in extreme heat conditions.
I realize that this would also apply to weight lifting, and keeping me cool during a workout but I don't really have a problem with that.

Anyways, any feedback would help on the decision to actually get some.

I love Under Armour, I used to wear it all the time when I was playing baseball. It helps to remove the sweat from your body and it evaporates much more quickly so that you don't have that heavy t shirt feeling when your shirts are drenched in sweat.

Under Armour stuff is absolutely essential when you anticipate sweating. I first got hooked on it after getting issued a few pairs of their wonderful boxer briefs in the military. Great stuff. Get it...worth every penny. Prevents chafing.

Thanks for the feedback, I can really sweat like a beast. Especially doing indoor court sports, my teeshirt can usually get flooded if I go all out for a full hour or so playing volleyball for school.

I think, I'll test it out and buy a shirt this week.

It’s awesome, I always wore one for the football games and it did felt like it kept me cool, I just got hooked on then. Now I wear one basically all the time. I got more underarmour stuff than I do clothes.

This guy thinks underarmour is for clubbing.

Effective, if trendy.

Last time I went to a club my light cotton shirt was engulfed in a dampness of sweat when I left. If under armour helps keep you dry, I can see why he would wear it.

i have also been thinking about getting it for hockey and lacrosse, ill definetly look into it now

For some of the clubs I have been in I can imagine it would come in handy when you had to sprint away from a classic coyote ugly drunk divorce who is on the rebound and has you in her sights. The fast evaporation effect give you a 2nd chance to appear presentable at another club before having to call it a night or prowl at Denny's restraunt for the last call club. Could have used it in my bachelor days...

It's really good stuff. I have several shirts, they really are more comfortable than regular cotton.

I where under armour for adventure racing, and all my work outs. It is GREAT!!! It works really well on keeping the sweat off your body. It is also really comfortable! I am stuck on it!

I know a lot of Officers who use it underneath their vests/uniforms to keep the sweat from accumilating as bad and keeping them cooler and dryer.

They really love it.

It's essentially the same idea and concept as Nike's Dri-Fit clothing. I sweat like a mofo and only wear Dri-Fit or a similar tyoe of material when working out.
