Is it even possible to gain weight as a result of the muscle you put on from lifting? Would it be very little weight?

IMO, it's possible to put on muscle while cutting, albeit slow but possible. So yes, I can how it would definately be possible to add LBM within maintenance calories.

If your nutrition is properly spaced(ie timing, etc) then yes its quite possible, but as Jodi said, slow.
