How much tuna is to much? I eat about 6 OZ of tuna a day five days a week give or take. is this bad? I have been told that I eat to much tuna but I just love it.

That is fine. Do a search on mercury in this forum and it will give you a few opinions. If for one see nothing wrong with a can a day.

I agree, 1 can per day is fine, anymore though on a daily basis and I would be a bit concerned.
When yall say one can. What size are the cans or how much is in the can.

i heard, maybe this is just a rumor, that you only have to worry about mercury in fresh tuna, not in cans. But 6oz is not going to kill anyone anyways. Can anyone else back me up????

my bad I just looked on one of my cans it says it has 5oz. So I guess I have been eating close to 15 oz of tuna a day maybe close to three cans a day.

I just happen to have some Tuna on my desk ....... the regular size can Jodi is referring to is 6 oz's . 2oz is the recommended serving size on the can.

It's typically the albacore tuna that has more mercury than the chunk.

you know, I eat this shit everyday and I hate it. I choke it down because I know it has good fat, as well as a healthy portion of protein. I still hate the shit. I devour it in 4 tbsp, I hate it so much.
