Greetings I'm just wondering how many excercises you guys perform per muscle group. I was doing 5 or 6, but was told I should do a 4 or 5 (5 being the MAX) . Whats the deal?

For major BP (chest, back, etc) , I do four sets of four exercises. For arms, calves, traps, fores, I do no more than eight. If I am working in the 6-8 rep range, hard for me to do more than that.

are you asking sets or exercises?
if you're asking exercises currently I do 1-2 for a small bp like biceps, and 3-4 for a large bp like back.
if you're asking sets that is a bit more complex, for me I currently do around 6 for a large bp like back and 3 for a small bp like biceps, however I am hitting each bp twice per week right now.

Thank for the responses. I'm talking both really. I'm doing 4 sets of 4 excercises per BP @ the 6 to 8 rep range.I work one BP per day except BI's & Tri's. Is this sufficient? I'm going for strength so I go as heavy as possible working upward in weight as I go through the sets.
