I think it goes by the name Creatinadrolhalotrenbalonetest.

1,005 is just insane. I'd love to see the video of him actually doing that.

Well its not a comp bench, so who knows what will happen. With Gene doing 965 not long after 900 though, its bound to happen very soon.

Is that guy even Human? Thats over 1000 pdz based on an one rep max. That guy needs to go buy some 100 pound plates!!!!!!!!!! And I wonder how long it took him to get that strong and, I would like to see him play on the O-Line or D-Line for the Eagles. If I was the owner I would sign him a big check..

Big bench pressing has very little to do with athletic power. Actually the green bay packers a few years ago signed an offensive linemen (who's name escapes me at the moment) that had an insane bench press.....he was the biggest bust in the NFL. Explosive power and strength are to different things. Offensize line men need to be incredbly explosive, not just strong.

I agree with this post

Do you guys know any good training methods to get explosive power?

Explosive movements, which is part of what Westside preaches.

There are 6 on the bar my friend.

I'm surprised a 45lb bb can support that much

Posted by: Saturday Fever

He wasn't using a 45lb bar for that. That was a "Texas Power Bar" and it weighs 100lb. If Mendelson starts focusing on his bench (he already holds the WR for squattiung, then the books need to be open. He's a monster.
