flax seeds?

just wondering what these do for the body?, and should you take them everyday if so how much a day? and also do they come in a pill form?

Flax seed oil is for flaxibility.

Note also that they need to be ground or crushed first (otherwise they will simply leave in the same state they came in) and once ground or crushed, they need to be kept refrigerated or they will oxidise.

You can buy ground flaxseeds in vacuum-packs (refrigerate after you break the seal). Just sprinkle it on things, or if you make something like turkey meatloaf or oatmeal pancakes, mix it in. Blend it into your shakes (makes them extra-thick). Heat doesn't affect flaxseed as it does some sources of EFAs, so you can cook or bake with it. What is this, everyone wants a pill, a supplement? Eat real food.

yummy recipe with flax seed

Flax Pancakes

1 scoop Protein
2 tb ground flax seed
1 whole egg
a smidge of water if needed


blend and pour into hot skillet..you know the rest
recipe stolen from Wild-One

Add crushed berries to the top if you are eating carbs with the meal

The only way that I can eat flaxseeds(grinded), is if I buy the Golden ones.. the brown ones taste icky to me

I add a table spoon of flax seed meal to my morning Oatmeal and also to my last meal shake (cottage cheese, almond butter, flax seed meal, 1 1/2 scoops of whey, 8 oz FF milk, stevia, and oatmeal).

Thickens things up a little and adds texure.
