This week I've been feeling pretty shitty. Working long hours, not getting much sleep, and I developed a massive cold. I haven't lifted in the past 3 days, and It's driving me crazy not going to the gym, but I'm not sure when I should go back. I almost feel like I could go today, but just my like I'd feel worse tomorrow or something. My first priority is getting healthy, before I get back into the gym. What do you guys usually do? How long do you all wait before jumping back into your routine?

Listen to your body. It'll let you know when you're and it's ready!

Yep, I agree with Babsie let your body dictate when you're ready.
A cold doesn't usually keep me from the gym and half the time I feel better after a workout anyway, however, it all depends on the severity of the cold. If you think you are up to it maybe give it a go... there's nothing to stop you from leaving if you start to feel crappy.

I never work out when I'm sick.

Thanks for all the opinions. I think I'm going to give it a go today and see how I feel. Anyone else with a different opinion?

from a biological standpoint anabolic activity is the last thing that the body does. training while sick is pointless as recovery is hampered so anabolism is out of the question...
