Well here it is...I do workout 3 times a week most of the time...i hit pretty much every part of my body...but somtimes i just dnt eat what i should. Somtimes i miss workouts...i just have alot of things going on right now...but i still take my protein shakes and my creatine when i workout. So i just dont have the best diet or workout sessions...but even with all that will i get any bigger? will it just take a bit longer? I am trying to gain mucle mass.
Thnx

Depends on your genitics.. I know guys that can eat anything, and all they have to do is look at a weight and they grow..

There is no way to answer that.
How damaged is your diet really?

Its not too bad..i mean somtimes i throw in some things i shouldent...I have a very fast motabolisim(sp?). But i get pretty good amount of protein...i do eat good, just it isent as good as it should be for me trying to get bigger.

Have you ever experienced gains without a good diet?

Posted by: benfica

Yes i havent been working out for very long though, I can notice myself being a little bit bigger, and I can see i am a bit more toned than before.

Do not use the word "toned" please.
I would get a solid diet, it is very important as you know. It is better than going to the gym for weeks and getting no results.

It truely depends on genetics I guess. But let me tell you this, I have some pretty shitty genetics and there has been a major difference in my body from when I got serious and when I did it like you. If you want serious gains you need to make some serious sacrifices sometimes. If you were to really clean up your diet to a nice balanced meal plan and keep to a solid program even just for a few weeks you will see what I mean.

I slacked for a while and got pretty crappy results but once I got serious I was hooked. I saw the difference in the way my body reacted to everything and it made the world of difference. But when it comes to hard times...believe me I am in a pretty tight jam right now....if you try to keep the diet clean and keep hitting the gym I don't see why you wont experince gains. Unless you have worse genetics then I.

Yes, everything that has been said.....genetics....blah blah blah.

the main thing is though....genetics or not. Even if you have good great genetics imagine what could happen if you didn't half ass things and got a solid diet together and didn't miss workouts!! Why hold yourself back? If I diet half assed I expect half assed results.

As everyone said...work on the diet!
I know where your coming from, I was the original "junk food junkie" (midnight shifts and easy access to Dunkin Donuts didnt help), but as you progress, you start to miss the crap foods less and less...I cant even look at a soda can without feeling a little sick to my stomache.
If you look through jodis' posts, she has a shopping list that is well worth downloading. Bring that with you shopping, and clean house of everything else. That way, if you have the munchies, your more likely to grab a healthy snack than a snickers.
Also, there are many people here who have a cheat day once in awhile to keep their sanity (but I'll let them get into that...I'm still working at keeping my own diet in check)

And dont dwell on the setbacks...learn from them

You will notice gains. However, you won't notice optimal gains. They will come slower and you will hit a plateau sooner.
