School is about to start and i'm a senior in highschool and I am taking strength and conditioning in school in which u workout for 40 minutes in class... the only problem is that i have very good workouts in ballys and i don't want to give that up for school 30 minutes workouts. So should i drop the strenght and conditioning class and just go to ballys everyday or should i workout in school and go to ballys in the evening doing the same bodypart done in school? kinda confused help please

What's wrong with a 30 minute workout?

If your school has good equipment, then I would take advantage of it and save some money spent on the gym.

I once had a similar class and they had excellent equipment - only downside was that 30 min of cardio had to be included with every workout. Of course, I found ways to skip the cardio as I did not want it hurting my gains

If you can do your own training routine during the class & drink a decent post workout shake afterwards than you may want to take the class. so you can use your after school time for other activities. how many days a week is the class ?

Classes suck, they usually make you follow some bullshit routine. I say ballys all the way, especially with the new $15 dollar a month plan.

I say drop ballys and school and join a real gym!

^ Bally's is dorky, but the problem today is that there are very few "real gyms." Bally's may be the best he can get.

i'm already a member of ballys and i have a contract for 3 years... what the hell is wrong with ballys? how is that not a real gym?

and the class is in school... it's a gym class so 5 days a week...

If it's 5 days per week, then that 30 minutes should be plenty. Take advantage of the money you will save.

Don’t sweat it, HS gym classes are mostly a joke. Just do your normal routine at the gym; I doubt you will really fall back on gains if you’re eating enough.

Do deadlifts at Bally's and see what happens.

When I think of Ballys always sounds like a gym for the ladies. But hey if they have weight in there and that’s your only choice it’s all good, enjoy the view

I went to a Bally's in downtown Washington DC in the late 1990s. There was a large variety of equipment for pulling, and plenty of free weights. It was good enough for me. Understandably it was really packed with people, and quarters were tight. This place was different than the Bally's that were at suburban shopping malls.

Well, you've got the "3 year contract" with Bally's....you tell us.

Well actually I deadlift at Ballys all the time. I do wish I would have stayed at Golds, but they were charging like 35-45 dollars a month when at Ballys I get the same thing (although equipment is older and its more densly packed) for 15.
