i read that dieting alone with no cardio will actually make your body fat % increase rather than decrease. can someone explain this to me?

Diet is the most important thing, caloric deficit.
The problem is that most people sit on the couch the whole day and donīt ever walk. They think they are on caloric deficit but they are not.
