Let me get this straight. Do some of you have a whey and oats first, then do cardio, then eat a little, say a banana, and then hit the weights. I'm very curious, and would that also apply to someone if they where tryng to bulk?

if you are trying to bulk then why are you worrying about cardio man?

Cardio should always come after weights, not before.

Exactly. If your priorities are building muscle and losing fat, you don't want to use your energy on cardio first which is why you use weights first and cardio last.

but if he is trying to bulk, then he needs to go hoome after the weights and get in some nutrition. you don't spend the most anabolic time of the day on a treadmill. you need to take advantage of that time frame and eat. do cardio at a ceperate time if you are so determinged on doing some, or your days off maybe. seperate the two toughguy

Hey gr81. I can't figure it out. now I'm a pretty good size guy already. I started gear 14 days ago. I lift 4-5 days a week. I use a elliptical machine for 20 min's 4 days a week. This is what i can't figure out. 1) I'm only taking in about 3000-4000 cal's a day. 2) I've put on 16 lbs in those 14 days. From 254 to 270. Also I set up a pretty nice gym in this 18' x 26' living room. Got rid of all the furnisher. The wife's not to happy, but F--k it. She"s young and will get over it. I told her I had a new girlfriend and her name is "Lifting Weights".

Shit. First he takes up squats, unlike 90% of lifters. Then he clears out his living room for weights?

God damn, thats what I call dedicated.

If i could figure out how to upload a picture, I'd put one of my living room up

Skip the cardio before or after the weights, and EAT! If your using gear and lifting looking for added mass, you probably don't need the cardio. If your body fat does start to get out of control, add some cardio first thing in the morning before you eat. If you lift in the morning, do the cardio in the evening before dinner.

your gaining weight and juicing, so I assume that gaining weight/size is your goal, so why the hell are you doing cardio???

drop the cardio.

Exactly. It is all about cals in/cals out. If you insist on doing the cardio, then up the cals to compensate.

even when bulking, i would never say drop the cardio completely.

Cardio isnt just a mechanism for helping to lose/gain weight. You gotta also work your most important muscle, your heart. short, low intensity cardio on a bike 2 or 3 times/week won't burn many cals, but it'll give your heart enough of a w.o....

....althought i fuckin HATE doing it myself

you better do some studying if you really believe what you just posted.

anaerobic training does work your heart.

TOM(Tuff Old Man) ... Do you have a digital camera? If not you can get one from anywhere cheap.

Next question is what operating system do you have ... windows 98 ... windows ME ... windows 2000 ... windows XP?

We will help you get your computer set up to upload pictures. You can be taking pictures of before dringing and after an post them to the your gallery so that you can show some of these whiners how it's done. You have some big balls Tuff Old Man and we are all enjoying your journey. Use this gallery like your personal scrap book so you can show the world how it's done!!

As far as the cardio is concerned what folks are saying is that lifting is in itself good cardio if you are not a lazy ass guy and actually work it We can all see that you are not a lazy ass guy TOM so do not worry so much about cardio. Spend your energy and cal's on and see how your body acts. Another thing about it is that with 3000 to 4000 cal's you are not eating enough to cover gear, lifting, AND hard cardio. Besides ... you have a younger girlfriend. Good sex is all the hard cardio you need .

Get your cardio from hard lifting ... and get back to us on the camera and operating system questions. We wanna watch!!!

I heard the best type of cardio, would be to run a couple of sprints or something hight intensitiy like that, rather than run on a treadmill at one speed for 20 min. TRUE?
