Will FSU ever get to break the curse against Miami?

It's been so long that FSU you has beaten Miami's football team.

I will tell you one thing, FSU needs a new fn' kicker if you ask me. The guy missed 2 important game winning field goals. He missed one that could've put FSU ahead 13-3 b4 Miami scored their 1st touchdown. This one would've been the game winner as Miami scored their 1st touchdown with around 1:25 left on the clock & would've had to have gone for an onside kick.

Then Beita missed the field goal in overtime as it was blocked so it wasn't all his fault.

But FSU needs a kicker like Morten Anderson, or Jason Elam or Steve Christie.

But will FSU ever break the curse?

There Is No Such Thing Is A Curse!!! Arg!!

What about the curse of The Buffalo Bills? 4 Super Bowl loses? Curse I say.

If you don't call it a curse that FSU hasn't beaten Miami in about 5+yrs?

He was being sarcastic...

So you have no opinion concerning the FSU Vs. Miami game?

Than what was the point of responding?

I actually wasn't being sarcastic at all. There is no such thing as a curse, and people who choose to believe that there is are truly a pathetic bunch.

If you wouldn't call it a curse for FSU Vs. Miami, than what would you call it?

FSU is a very, very, very good football team & has been for a long time.

But for the past while having near perfect records, they just can't beat Miami who isn't perfect either.

So you truly think that Florida State is cursed? Thats a laugh.

How about the fact that Miami has been a better football team than them, and how Chris Rix is one of the worst quarterbacks in College football.

Come on, don't tell me you actually believe in curses.

You can't be serious?

Chris Rix being one of the worst QB's in College football?

Plz tell me you didn't say that.

He's amazing.

I guess you missed one of the most incredible running plays I've seen a QB at any level do?

FSU was in a critical 3rd & 6 or 3rd & 7 or something & very much needed a 1st down.

Rix faded back to pass about several yards behind the line of scrimmage & no one was open.

So he rolled right & ran it. I thought he was going to be tackled twice but escaped. Then b4 he could get passed the 1st down marker he was about to get tackled, but he jump forward about 17 feet in the air to get the first down.

Plus he's good in the pocket.

Rix doesn't do it for me, because he still as a fifth year senior, can't get past the point of looking clueless out there.

Posted by: Johnnny

Chris Rix still gets the job done.

You can't expect all players on offense or defense at any level to always have perfect games.

The QB Berlin for Miami wasn't looking all there either.

Posted by: soxmuscle

That isn't my point. Rix' ability to be the inexperienced drugged out loser he is, has really hampered his Florida State career, which gets to my next point that there are no curses!

I still think that you aren't giving Chris Rix the credit he deserves.

No he'e no Chris Weinke (by the way what is it with FSU & QB's with the 1st name Chris), but Chris Rix isn't on drugs & he has great ability & a good sense of football itself IMO.

First off I'll just say I hate FSU and Miami, but as a gator fan, I tend to hate fsu a tad more.

Of course they'll break the "skid" or "streak" or curse or whatever. They've only played like 5 times. In the scheme of things, that's not that long. Being that close everytime, it always makes for a great entertaining game.

It's just not realistic that Miami will always win that close game.

Funny you mention Florida, I'm also a Florida fan as well as FSU & Miami.

But I agree they're always close games whether it's a high scoring game or low scoring game.

So FSU should do it soon.

But I know what you mean about disliking neighbouring schools, as my cousin was at FSU law from 2000-2003 & hated Miami but didn't mind Florida.

those rivalries down in the SEC are so extreme, there aren't many out there that like more than 1 team.

Thank You. I don't even believe 86 years is a curse when it comes to the Sox, and 5 games!

That is true, but I'm open minded & enjoy watching several different teams play as there's so many teams around the nation.

Dont get me wrong, I enjoy watching all these games. I just dont root for the teams necessarily. NCAA football is always fun to watch. The fact that there's so many teams, conferences and rivalries, is what makes it so exciting, and in my opinion, better than the pros. That goes for basketball as well.

Well to each his own, I do root for about 7 or 8 NCAA teams & try to watch whatever games of these particular teams are on.

Posted by: cmason2004

I do the same

Cool

There's sooo many teams around that have good games & the teams that I follow, their games aren't always on tv or at least for me.

So when they are on tv I watch those teams.
