I've try to keep to working about the same mucle group only twice a week, working out a total of six days. My friend is defintally seeing a lot of results by just working out the same muscle groups for five days staight, then taking a week off. Its been recommended that I dont do this, but its really working well for him. What do you think?

Your friend is:

1-genetically gifted
2-not going to see great results for long

And would:

1-be making even better gains by training each muscle group 1-2 times per week

I think your friend just started lifting weights. so of course he is going to see results as he was doing nothing before. it's almost impossible for a newbie to resistance training to overtrain. everything is new to their bodies and especially to the CNS.

I agree with this as well, if in fact, you are correct in your assumption that his friend is a newbie.

no n oi g0t a good one, it may be because you and your friend are jsut begining to workout and that means your muscles dont know whats happening and they respond to any kind of resistance, know what i mean ? but once you leave the begginer circle after a year or two then your muscles will not be so responsive and you'll need to do some other work on it, or i could be wrong, but i doubt it
