Pepper, as much as I appreciate the fact that my Red Sox are a big market team and can outspend anyone except the Yankees, I think a cap is DESPARATELY needed in baseball.

I agree. Looks what it's done for the NFL. Teams like Green Bay and Carolina can put highly competitive teams on the field, while big market teams like New York and Chicago struggle. I believe the cap has also worked well for the NBA. Just look at San Antonio and Sacramento.
