I'm trying to add some calories to my diet to add some lean mass. I'm currently taking in enough protein so I want to add some carbs. I need something that is super fast that I can take to class and eat during or inbetween classes and that requires no cooking. Which would be best out of:
another apple (i already eat one a day), a nature valley granola bar, or a piece of whole wheat bread with peanut butter? Or what else would you suggest?
Thanks!

No granola bars and PB is a fat not a carb. WW bread is not your best choice by far.
Brown Rice, sweet potatoes, Oats, legumes, apples, peaches, berries and grapefruit, whole grains.

the complex carbs that Jodi mentioned above are your best choice. a diet high in fiber not only reduces serum cholesterol levels but helps to increase insulin sensitivity....

Legumes - you can get little tins of legumes such as chick-peas/kidney beans that you just open and eat!! You can also buy roasted legumes that are very handy (for example, there are roasted chick-peas called 'Chick Nuts' over here - really yummy!!).
Rolled Oats - Just take it in a little container. Really easy to eat, no need to cook...
Sweet potato - Just bake up a whole heap at the start of the week and take a little bag of it with you each day!
A better bread would be ok - sprouted or pumpernickel.
