Monday and thursday i include carbs in 3 out of my 5 meals. (first 2 meals include carbs) I was wondering if on days off..or set for cardio i should say .. would it be ok to start the day off like this:
Meal 1 (7:30)
1 cup oatmeal
1 scoop protein whey

*** HIIT cardio for 45 minutes***

meal 2 (10:30)
1 cup of oatmeal
1 scoiop of whey protein
6 oz chicken, 6 oz tuna (im a big guy..190 6ft1 )

^^^what my concern is . I used to eat chip, mashed potatoes, and loads of carbs when i really didnt give a f**k . Now 2 cups of oatmeal on a cardio day doesnt sound much??? i feel like im stuffing myself to death with carbs. Should I seperate the carb intake on cardio days? like meal 1 and then have carbs meal 3??Anything i should replace in these 2 meals?

Perhaps someone more experienced can help with the diet. I just wanted to point out the 45min HIIT.
Regular/moderate cardio is suggested to be 20-30min max. doing HIIT for 45min not only seems excessive but unbelieveable, if you are doing hiit right.

If you are carb sensitive or have blood sugar issues then yeah, it would be beneficial. If not then I see no reason to do it. A calorie is still a calorie.

If you can do HIIT for 45 minutes you aren't doing it right...HIIT cardio session need only by 20 minutes max...don't you listen to anything anybody says around here

Dude eat carbs in the morning, eat carbs after workouts. If you have 3 meals of carbs eat one in the morning, then cardio/weight lifting, then carbs, then carry on the rest of your day placing a carb meal in 3-4-5.

What jodi is saying is, if you are sensative to carbs or have issues with blood sugar seperate your carbs meals but if you are a normal joe shmoe do what ever you feel like just as long as there are carbs when you wake up, before a workout, and after a workout.

If you are doing HIIT for 15 mins why are you still jogging around for an additional 30? Purpose of HIIT is that its short n sweet n to the point. It raises your bmr throughout the day, after doing it so you burn more cals without risking losing LBM.

Eat carbs pre-workout, post-workout, and at breakfast. If your breakfast is your pre-workout meal, then I suggest eating carbs for your first 3 meals.
