Carbs before run/walk?

I'll get right to ther point, for my dynamics of health and fitness class I'm taking this semester I have to walk a mile then immediatly after run 1.5 miles. I know it doesn't sound like much but for someone like me who can't run for his life without getting tired I was wondering if I should attempt to carb up the night before or morning of to boost my performance? I truely have no stamina when it comes to running, I could sprint but long distance is not my thing, and yes 1.5 miles to me is long distance lol.

As fior my diet, yea don't worry about that its all messed up and for the past month or so I have been trying to organize it but I don't have much time or $$ to keep at it so what ever is around the house is what I get for now. Hopefully by this weekend I'll have a set meal plan and enough supplies to carry it out.

JMHO, but I personally don't see the point of carbing up when you will only be running 1.5 miles. That's not very far, so you really don't need an excess of carbs.

I was just curious, I was thinking its not a long enough run for carbing up or anything but its better I ask then to just sit here and wonder. I figured if I ate a decent breakfast the morning of then went and ran an hour or so after I wont have any problems with energy levels, except for the fact I'll be running at 8am. College life spoiled me with sleeping in late lol.

Carb away, it can't hurt. Carbs are good; don't be afraid of carbs. Everyone is so against carbs these days!

I got nuttin against em heh, they are my best friend. Especially with me bulking I am trying to take in some extra ones. I was just wondering if I would eat more carbs the morning before or the night before the run.....not sure when the best time to do it is.

I eat carbs like 45 minutes before I go jogging. Give yourself enough time to digest the food so you don't get cramps, but don't eat them the night before. By then the carbs will either have been used up or stored as fat.
