Your drink during workout

What is your drink druring workout? some drink water, some drink cerbs, some drink protein and some drink energy drinks?

Usually water, but on the off chance that i have to squeeze a workout in due to other constraints, i sometimes sip on a well watered down carbs/protein drink. Usually cause i'm starving.

You should be pre-fueled before hitting the gym.

Water unless I'm doing a long endurance workout and then I add some carbs to it to maintain my energy and not bonk.

I keep a water bottle with me at all times, the gym included. I have no need to drink gatorade, or some of the other crap that people drink.

I am not Gary. I drink about 2 gallons a day, not including my 2 diet cokes and a glass of Crystal light. I'm well hydrated.

It sounds weird, but its GREAT...I use Optimum Nutrition Chocolate Mint protein w/cran.

I was using just Choc. for a while, but then in gave Choc Mint a shot, and have been using that for about 6mo. straight now (i go through about a tub/week, and i'm not even close to sick of it).

Give it a try bro, guarenteed you'l like it

I've been drinking a gatorade/protein mix with a ratio of about 4g/1g carbs/protein and it's working very well. Before that I drank water, and I ran out of energy during my final sets. Could be mental, of course... but it works for me!

Tons of water. Nothings better. If I am working a longer workout, or just tired, Ill eat a candy. But thats it.

It puts the glycogen in the right place that is why it is superior to simple sugar. Although I have no proof of that.
