O, it pains me at 1am to see something like that. I don't know how people survive day-to-day activity.

Cardiovascular is, by definition, relating to the blood vessels and heart. I think aerobics is the term that would be more accurate instead of "cardio", because the metabolic use of oxygen for fuel would be used when doing non-intense workout, while the cardiovascular system is relevant in any workout.

As far as "cardio" is concerned, if you work out intensely in the gym, you will get as good a heart workout as you do when jogging mildly.
