Looks like GP WILL be playing for Beantown this year, which is GREAT news. I thought he was so pissed he was gonna retire, but i guess he's boys with Pierce, and Sweet P convinced him to play.

Man, if he plays up to his potential the C's could be a force to reckon with this year........

Sorry Flex but did you not see him play last year? I used to love watching the glove when he played at Seattle, but he's washed up now. I don't want to hear the excuse that it was the triangle offense that screwed him up. He's now slow, selfish and old.

As a laker fan, good riddens. The guy is worthless these days.

I agree with Flex on this one. Personally, I think this team is very capable of making the playoffs and doing some damage, but the one player that seperates this team from a great team to a good young team is Raef LaFrentz.

If he plays well, the C's will thrive, I guarantee it.

I will not stand idely by while the greatest point guard of the last ten years is slandered by you haterz.. So the dude is getting old, give him a break. He RARELY missed a game his entire career in Seattle and he played 45-46 mins a game damm near, which btw I probably saw 90% of. The cat was a spark plug, always the most energized player on the court. After a while that will catch up to anyone, ya dig! Show some respect for my man.

that's gonna happen when you have argueably the top 2 players in the NBA on your team, Shaq and Kobe, and one of the greatest power forwards in NBA history as your 3rd scorer, Malone.

Although i don't think Payton is the greatest PG of the last decade, we've all seen what he's capable of. I think he's a great fit in Boston.

Didn't you see the finals last year, he looked as old as Ewing. He has poor shot selection. Listen he used to be my favorite point guard years ago but that was years ago.

no offense my man but you didn't watch him play day in and day out for ten+ years.. theres no doubt in my mind, he one of the most underrated players we have seen in a bit. That tends to happens to players in Seattle.. btw GP was a more complete player than stockton, take away Malone and what would have john accomplished?
