When she holds back

A recent Harris Interactive survey found that 22 percent of women withhold sex as punishment after an argument--a number that seems suspiciously low. (The same survey, sponsored by Adam & Eve, an adult-products company, said 12 percent of men do the same.) Robert Glover, Ph.D., author of No More Mr. Nice Guy: A Proven Plan for Getting What You Want in Love, Sex and Life, suggests this strategy for a resumption of talks. * Write a note. Keep it short and simple: You love her, and you're available to talk when she's ready. Send only one--a repeat makes you look needy and weak, which you're not. * Have guy time. "A man should go to work, hang out with his buddies, mow the lawn, play with the dog," says Glover. "He can take care of his own sexual urges in private." * Be patient. Let her cool off. "She has eventually returned every other time you've had a fight--she probably will this time, too," says Glover. "If you're patient, the payoff will be worth the wait."

I have never understood this... who the heck are you trying to punish anyway, is it not bad enough that you've had an argument without cutting off your nose to spite your face?!
Seriously though - imo turning sex into a weapon as punishment is a very bad idea.
Ps. Glover sounds like a drip.
