can someone explain to me what an mao inhibitor is? the reason i am asking is my x-plode i am taking says dont take with an maoi and the lipo-6 i just got says dont take with an maoi.

maoi's are antidepressant drugs that inhibit the action of monoamine oxidase in the brain.

Personsally I wouldn't. If they put that message on the bottle I assume they're concerned about potential liability. Best to play it safe.
