1) Is flax oil as good as fish oil?
2) If I'm allergic to Cod fish (other fish is fine), can I still have fish oil? Is the fish oil coming from Cod fish?
3) Do flax oil and fish oil need to be refrigerated? I'm not home most of the day.
4)At the meal that I'm taking ground flaxseed do I still need to take the oil?

Thanks

No it's not. Your body has to convert Flax to EPA/DHA and it's conversion is is small. Fish oil is EPA/DHA.

Fish oil is not made from Cod. It's made from Salmon, sardines, mackarell and a few other nasty little fish. Cod oil is different than Fish oil and cod oil should only be taken during cold months unlike Fish oil which can be used year round

3) Do flax oil and fish oil need to be refrigerated? I'm not home most of the day.
Flax oil needs to remain refrigerated at all times, Fish oil does not which makes it so portable. Although, I do keep my bottle of fish oil in the fridge and take out what I need for the day and keep them in a pill box in my purse

4)At the meal that I'm taking ground flaxseed do I still need to take the oil?
Depends on how much fat you need for that meal

Thanks

when i bought my flax seed oil it was just off the shelf in no fridge, i asked the guy at the store 'why is this not in the fridge' he was like... ''oh they normally are, ummm... i think you should keep it in the fridge when you open it'' (you could tell by looking at him he didn't have a clue), i looked at the bottle and it said store in a cool dry place?

kind of weird because i'd read it needed to be kept in the fridge on here some time ago so since i bought it i've kept it in the fridge

hopefully it will be alright?

i'll try and get some fish oil if that is better? or what about udo's choice blend? that any good?

Udo's Choice is good but it gets pricey. IMO...some decent fish oil caps are the way to go...

...and a decent fish oil cap can be found where?

Consumer reports did a test on fish oil and found that the Kirkland Brand by Costco was just as good as all the high priced ones. A bottle off 300 caps at Costco only runs at $7.00. Can't beat that.
